Published modules are displayed in Libraries. As before, there are Open resources and the Organization Library, but now it is also possible to create your own Libraries where you decide who will have access and what the structure should look like.
In Open resources, all users of the repository can see the modules and in the Organization Library, all members of your organization can see it. Whether people have access to the modules depends, as before, on the access setting in the modules.
Libraries are created in the Create New dialogue described earlier. In the created library, you can create folders to get the structure you want. This is also done in the Create New dialog.
Modules can be published to as many Libraries as you like. However, you need to publish several times if the module is to be published in several places.
Publishing is easiest by dragging a module to the Library you want to publish it in. A new feature is that it is now possible to publish at any level in the Library. Previously, you had to publish at the lowest level, but now you can choose to publish at any level you want.
Please note that if you publish modules in your own library, it can have an impact if the module is used in a Learning Zone or in an LMS with LTI link. If the module has the access setting closed, those who should be able to access the module must be added as users in that library.
It is also possible to publish a module by clicking Share and then Publish on the right hand side if the module is selected.
Add users to a library
Click on the library you want to give users access to, then click on Share.
A new dialogue is opened where you first select what type of access you want to give.
- Users are those who should be able to view the modules.
- Publishers are also able to publish modules to the library.
- Administrators also have the right to manage the workspace. Ie. add/remove users. They also have the right to delete the library.
Then search for the people you want to add and give them access to the library.
Remove people from the library
In the Share dialogue, hover over the name of the person you want to delete. Then click on the symbol to remove the person from the workspace.
Change title and description of a library
The title and description of the library can be changed by clicking on the respective "pen".
Delete a library
To be able to delete a library first all modules must be either unpublished from it or deleted.
Then click on Delete workspace/library to delete it
